Thoughtful, trauma-focused mental health care that recognizes the role of relationships, identity, and lived experience in healing.
When I think of people, I think of systems—the ones within and the ones we're a part of. I use evidence-based practices and somatic, client-centered approaches to reorient to safety in the mind and body, and in the relationships that matter.
I am a licensed mental health counselor and relational trauma researcher with over four years of clinical experience, dedicated to supporting adults through life transitions, healing past wounds, and fostering authentic, meaningful lives.
My clinical approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in neuroscience and trauma-informed, client-centered principles. I am also an SSP-certified professional and provide diagnostic assessments and individual counseling.
I tailor my therapeutic techniques to fit your unique needs through a range of modalities, including:
IFS (Internal Family Systems): An intervention to connect with and heal different parts of yourself, especially those affected by trauma.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): A practical method for recognizing and modifying negative thought patterns and behaviors.
Mindfulness & Stress Reduction: Techniques to help you manage stress, stay present, and cultivate peace.
Polyvagal Theory (PVT): A framework for understanding and regulating the nervous system through heightened awareness and stimulation of the vagus nerve.
Somatic Therapy: Techniques that integrate the mind-body connection, helping release stored stress and trauma.
Trauma: Recover from past trauma and take back control of your life.
Relationship Issues: Enhance communication, resolve disputes, and strengthen your bonds with partners, family, or friends.
Life Transitions: Manage major life changes like career shifts, moving, divorce, or adjusting to a new stage in life.
Anxiety & Stress: Control anxiety, panic attacks, and stress using effective coping techniques.
Depression & Low Mood: Conquer feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and lack of motivation.
Grief & Loss: Heal after losing someone close, ending a relationship, or experiencing a major life shift.
Identity: Discover or reconnect with your true self—who you are or who you've always dreamed of becoming—way before you learned to fit into everyone else's expectations.
Self-Esteem & Confidence: Increase your self-worth, self-compassion, and assertiveness for an authentic life.
You may be starting your therapy journey for the first time, or maybe you've invested your time and trust in therapeutic relationships that did not lead to the growth you were seeking. Regardless, I'll meet you where you are and work at your pace to undo learned protective patterns that no longer serve you, replacing them with new ways of thinking about and interacting with your internal and external systems so you can live the life that has been put on hold. To do so, therapy with me looks like:
A space to be understood
Therapy doesn't require you to have everything figured out before you walk through the door; we'll discover your wants, needs, values, and fears together, without judgment or shame.
Collaborative, not Prescriptive
We'll work together to understand what's happening and determine what feels useful to you. You are in the driver's seat of your treatment; I'm here to provide directions when requested.
Trauma-informed & individualized
Your experiences, identities, relationships, and goals shape the work. I will honor your capacities, recognize what you can contribute, never take more, and offer what I can to support your ongoing processing and growth.
