Appointments:
Appointments are 53-60 minutes long. Appointments are typically held virtually unless otherwise arranged. Sessions are scheduled weekly or biweekly. I will do my best to maintain consistent scheduling, and I ask that you do the same.
Cancellation Policy:
Please provide 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a fee (see Billing / Fees for more information), as that time is reserved for you.
Paperwork Completion Policy:
Before scheduling an initial appointment, new clients must complete the required intake and consent paperwork. Your appointment is not confirmed until you complete and return all required paperwork. This allows me to review your information before our first session and ensure the services I provide are an appropriate fit for your needs. If required paperwork has not been received by the requested deadline, your appointment may be released. Required paperwork must be completed at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment. Appointments for which paperwork has not been completed by the deadline may be canceled or released.
Payment:
Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made. We will discuss accepted payment methods and any details (e.g., self-pay rates, sliding scale, or insurance) during the intake process.
Telehealth:
Telehealth sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. You are responsible for having a private space and a stable internet connection during our sessions.
Confidentiality:
What you share in therapy is confidential, with limited exceptions as required by law (e.g., risk of harm to self or others, suspected abuse or neglect, court orders). I will always aim to inform you if a situation arises that requires a breach of confidentiality.
Emergencies:
I am not able to provide crisis services. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please call 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), go to your nearest emergency room, or contact local emergency services.
Good Faith Estimate:
If you are a self-pay client, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges. Please let me know if you would like more information.
Questions:
If you have any questions about these policies or anything else related to our work together, please don't hesitate to reach out. My goal is to make the therapeutic process as clear, comfortable, and supportive as possible.
