Hi, I'm Emma Guzman, LMHC. I'm a licensed mental health counselor passionate about helping adults navigate life's changes, heal from past experiences, and build a more meaningful, authentic life. My work is grounded in a neuroscience- and trauma-informed, client-centered, and collaborative approach. I believe therapy is not about "fixing" you, but about creating a supportive space where you can better understand yourself, explore new possibilities, and feel more connected to the life you want to live.
I have experience working with adults who are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, identity exploration, and the impacts of chronic stress. I am also a certified provider of the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), which I incorporate into therapy when clinically appropriate.
My style is warm, compassionate, and honest. I will push you in ways that may be uncomfortable, while honoring limits based on readiness. I strive to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are—without judgment—and feel supported as you grow.
Outside of my work, I value time with my loved ones and pets, good coffee, time in nature, and reading a good book (preferably field-related or true-crime!).
I look forward to the possibility of working with you.
